Ahoy there! Whether you’re dreaming of sailing the seven seas or just want that perfect nautical touch, our Personalised Sailor or Captain Cap is an essential accessory. It’s a fantastic gift or a fun addition to your own collection!
Choose Your Style & Make It Yours: First, pick your seafaring style:
- The Captain Cap: Classic Black, crafted from 100% cotton, featuring distinguished gold leaf style embellishments, a smart gold braid across the brim, and a traditional navy and gold anchor insignia with “Captain” embroidered below it.
- The Sailor Cap: A crisp White and Navy design, also 100% cotton, for that timeless, fresh-off-the-deck look (this version does not include the “Captain” text on the front).
Next, make it truly personal! Add a Name (up to 15 characters, please – just text, no emojis or icons!). You get to choose your favourite thread colour AND the font style for the name (you can usually see a live preview of how the name looks in your chosen font right on the product page!). We’ll then expertly machine embroider the name on the left side of the cap.
Both cap styles are made from comfortable 100% cotton and feature an adjustable strap at the back, fitting head sizes from approximately 54cm up to 60cm.
Creating your custom embroidered cap takes a little time – please allow 3-5 business days for production before it’s dispatched. To ensure we get your order processed smoothly, no artwork proof is sent for name embroidery, so please double-check the spelling and your selections carefully! For care, a gentle spot clean is recommended.

How long does delivery take?
Once your order leaves our workshop, Australia Post takes over. Most Aussie customers on standard shipping have their parcel within 5 business days of dispatch. During busy periods in the AusPost network it can stretch to 14 business days. If it has been longer than that, get in touch and we will chase it up for you.
What is CustomKings' turnaround time?
Most items are personalised within one business day. Every product page shows an estimated delivery date so you know what to expect. Typical dispatch times:
- Engraved items: 1 business day
- Embroidery: 1 to 5 business days
- Shirt printing: 1 to 5 business days
Large, corporate, or peak season orders (Christmas, Father's Day, etc.) may take a little longer.
How do I track my order?
You can track your parcel from the order confirmation page, your confirmation email, or anytime on our Order Tracking page. Just pop in your order number and email address for an instant update.
How much does shipping cost?
All Australian orders ship with tracked Australia Post services.
- Standard shipping: $9.96 flat rate (you never pay more on bigger orders).
- Free standard shipping on orders over $120.
Express and other options are available at checkout.
Can I see what my personalisation will look like?
Some of our products have an artwork proof listed as a paid option right on the product page. Where we can offer this ethically at a low cost to cover the time involved, we do.
If a proof option is not listed on a product, it is usually because:
- The item is priced below our proofing threshold, so adding the cost would not make sense for you.
- The design is pre-made with only small changes like a name or date, so the product images already show you almost exactly what you will receive.
- The nature of the product means a digital proof would not accurately represent the finished result.
We put a lot of care into making our product photos and descriptions as clear as possible so you can order with confidence. If you are ever unsure about anything, just reach out and we are happy to help.
Do you offer click and collect?
Yes! Pop your full address in at checkout and choose the "Click and Collect, Bennetts Green" option when it appears (available across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, and the Hunter Valley).
Most orders are ready the next business day. We will text you as soon as your order is good to go. Please wait for the SMS before heading in.
Collection hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Closed weekends and public holidays.
