Artwork Requirements for Kid’s Metal Printed Licence Plate
To ensure a high-quality print for your kid’s ride-on car plate, please make sure your artwork file is set up according to these specifications.
- Final Product Size: The finished metal plate will be 150mm x 75mm.
- Required File Size (with bleed): Your file must be sized to 160mm x 85mm.
- This includes a 5mm bleed on all four sides, which ensures your design extends to the very edge of the plate after trimming.
- Safe Zone: Keep all important text, names, and design elements within the final 150mm x 75mm area to prevent them from being cut off.
- File Format: A vector-based file (e.g., AI, EPS, SVG, or a vector PDF) is strongly recommended for the best results.
- Resolution: Any photos or raster images included in your design must have a minimum resolution of 300 DPI.
- Fonts: Please convert all text to outlines before sending your file to ensure the font prints correctly.

How long does delivery take?
Once your order leaves our workshop, Australia Post takes over. Most Aussie customers on standard shipping have their parcel within 5 business days of dispatch. During busy periods in the AusPost network it can stretch to 14 business days. For the fastest update, check your tracking details with Australia Post first, as they have the latest scan and delivery information.
What is CustomKings' turnaround time?

How much does shipping cost?
All Australian orders ship with tracked Australia Post services.
- Standard shipping: $9.96 flat rate (you never pay more on bigger orders).
- Free standard shipping on orders over $120.
Express and other options are available at checkout.
Can I see what my personalisation will look like?
Some of our products have an artwork proof listed as a paid option right on the product page. Where we can offer this ethically at a low cost to cover the time involved, we do.
If a proof option is not listed on a product, it is usually because:
- The item is priced below our proofing threshold, so adding the cost would not make sense for you.
- The design is pre-made with only small changes like a name or date, so the product images already show you almost exactly what you will receive.
- The nature of the product means a digital proof would not accurately represent the finished result.
We put a lot of care into making our product photos, descriptions, and checkout information as clear as possible so you can order with confidence. The details you need are shown on the product page before you buy.
Do you offer click and collect?
Yes! Pop your full address in at checkout and choose the "Click and Collect, Bennetts Green" option when it appears (available across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, and the Hunter Valley).
Most orders are ready the next business day. We will text you as soon as your order is good to go. Please wait for the SMS before heading in.
Collection hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Closed weekends and public holidays.
